Target: the 2022 media study is coming soon

The market research firm Target SARL will soon unveil its annual study of the media in the 26 provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. For this 2022 edition, Target will again integrate the new realities that characterize the Congolese media universe.

The study will focus on old and new media, such as YouTube. It will also analyze the DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television), whose advent in 2020 has caused a multiplication of television channels in the Congolese media universe. The traditional media, known as free-to-air television, radio, and the written press, will be included in this survey. The respondents will identify the media supports that allow them to follow these media, their preferred language for following the media, the times at which they follow them, and their usual places for following them.

This new edition of Target's media study will address questions about the most followed media, favorite programs, and pay TV. The study will also cover satellite broadcast media; other sections will be reserved for telephone and Internet usage. Data collection for the media study will begin on April 1, 2022. The final report will be available next July.
