Newsletter No 10: Target focuses on social research
In newsletter number 10, Target's General Manager informs that the Agency has, for some time, set its sights on social research. These studies covered a variety of topics: media, environment, health, education, gender, youth, refugee’s or displaced persons lifestyle, water, electricity, politics, employment, trades, financial inclusion, religion, agriculture, data demographics, deep concerns of citizens, etc. Social research makes it possible to make a real diagnosis of communities in both rural and urban areas.
The Project Department, which is in charge of conducting the studies, is in the phase of NVIVO software that will facilitate instant note-taking during focus groups and the processing of qualitative data. The same department recently published digital data from economic analyses in the fields of water, electricity, cement, etc. On IT Department's side, at the end of the year, the focus is on training. Guillaume MATADI is trained in computer graphics, Benjamin MUKINI in data analysis and processing and Blaise Pezo in Power Business Intelligence.
The newsletter also includes excerpts from some social studies conducted by the Agency: study on the concerns of Congolese people, studies on doing business in DRC, study on cancer etc. The newsletter is available herei.
