Target consultants and trainees trained in technical proposal writing

Target's consultants and trainees have just been trained to write study proposals. The training aimed to help the participants to be able to write a technical proposal based on an existing template. A technical proposal is a document written by the agency that details how it intends to carry out the study requested in the client's brief. This training was administered to consultants and interns on July 24, 2020, by Martial Buduile, a Research Specialist.

The writing of a technical proposal is conceived in five stages: the client's reception, the brainstorming session, the actual writing, the elaboration of costs, and the finalization with the graphic touch. The trainees also learned that the proposal has three parts: the presentation of the structure (Target), the context and objectives, and the methodology. At each step, all possible data were developed with the trainer to understand the learners better.

Martial Buduile explained to the consultants and trainees that the objectives are essential to the study. As for the methodology, it is the agency's prescription in front of the client's problem. The brainstorming session often helps to identify the appropriate approach. He also points out that the traditional methodologies are quantitative, qualitative, and documentary. Quantitative methods are when the objectives mention terms such as calculation and evaluation. Qualitative methods are when the approach generally uses terms such as understand, analyze, and research.

Documentary methodologies are often used to support the previous ones, but they are also used when the client asks about market potential and available data. All these methodologies can be mixed or unique depending on the study's objectives.

The training also shows that it is crucial to deconstruct the methodological outlines so that the client already perceives his study during implementation because he must live his study through the detailed methodology.
