One year before the presidential election, Félix Tshisekedi goes favorite
According to a survey conducted by Target SARL among a representative sample of 2,000 people in the 26 provincial capitals of the DRC from April 25 to May 13, 2022, Félix Tshisekedi leads the list with 31% ahead of Martin Fayulu (14%), Moise Katumbi (13%) and Joseph KABILA (10%).
The current President, Félix Tshisekedi, leads in the great Kasaà ¯ (80%), in Kongo Central (32%), and in Province Orientale (31%), while Martin Fayulu has received the most voting intentions in Bandundu (38%).
Moise Katumbi scored highest in Katanga (36%), Joseph Kabila in Grand Kivu (17%), and Jean-Pierre Bemba in Equateur (30%). Kinshasa (29%) and Central Kongo (30%) had the highest abstention rates.
Respondents were randomly selected according to the quota method by age, gender, and municipality of residence. The 26 provinces were grouped into 8 regions based on the former administrative boundaries for analytical purposes.
