Successful Completion of the Awareness Campaign, Identification, and Registration of New Enterprises (3 to 36 months)
Completion of the Awareness and Registration Mission
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the awareness, identification, and registration mission for new businesses aged 3 to 36 months, entrusted to the Target-Kivu Entrepreneurs-Dellions group by UCP Transforme. This exciting initiative, part of a strategic partnership, was carried out across all three zones—East, West, and Center—and has been a tremendous success!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the public and private SME management structures in the cities involved in the project (Kinshasa, Matadi, Goma, Bukavu, Bunia, Kananga, and Mbuji-Mayi). Your unwavering collaboration and support throughout this journey have been invaluable.
The Three Phases of the Mission
1. Awareness-Raising
During this phase, we worked hard to spread the word about the project's eligibility criteria and walk businesses through the registration process to help them succeed.
2. Identification
In this phase, eligible companies eagerly registered by sharing essential details about their operations along with the necessary documentation. To make the process as accessible as possible, we deployed three methods:
- In-center registration
- Online sign-ups
- On-the-ground identification
All the data collected was carefully stored on a secure server, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
3. Registration
The final, and most exciting, phase—registration—involved visiting the business locations of the eligible candidates to validate and confirm the information submitted during identification. This step allowed us to verify and solidify the data, ensuring its integrity.
Mission Results
The results are incredible: nearly 47,000 new businesses were identified, and 30,000 were successfully registered! Moving forward, a list of 13,000 short-listed companies will be shared by UCP Transforme for inclusion in the highly anticipated entrepreneurship training program (FOPE), designed to strengthen vital business skills and foster entrepreneurial growth.
Project Launch
For context, this transformative project was launched with great excitement on November 19, 2024, by UCP Transforme, led by Operations Manager Ms. Mallory Luntadi, before a dynamic and diverse audience of entrepreneurs and SME leaders in Silikin village, Kinshasa.
Targeted Sectors
The project is focused on key sectors including:
- Light industry
- Processing and packaging
- High-value-added services
- Social entrepreneurship
- The green economy
We are beyond excited to continue this journey, supporting new businesses and nurturing the growth of entrepreneurship across the region!
